Hi Jennifer,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I am happy to share that there are
Services for Guests with Disabilities at the Walt Disney World Resort! Pay particular attention to the Guides for Guests with Disabilities. If you review the
Magic Kingdom Guide, for example, take note of the Dining and Shopping Location information under Accessibility & Mobility. If a dining location has a narrow queue, it may be easier for a member of your party to order food for your sister rather than have her wait in the queue. When my husband used an ECV in the past, we were able to navigate all of the restaurants and shopping areas we wanted to enjoy.
Since your sister will be in a wheelchair or Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV), I also suggest that you review the
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities. When my husband needed an ECV, we used
ECV Rentals in the parks. If you decide to use a wheelchair, also review the
Wheelchair Rental information for the parks. Since it sounds like your sister may need a wheelchair or ECV at the resort also, I suggest renting one from one of the Disney featured providers noted on the Wheelchair or ECV web page.
Jennifer, also try
mobile food and beverage ordering to skip the wait in line when ordering food!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
