    I am traveling in November with a 6 1/2 month old and I was wondering about all the rides and attractions. Can I take him on the Safari ride and similar attractions while he is in a carrier strapped to me? Also, what about coolers in the parks?

    Hello Pheobe!

    I first brought my children to Walt Disney World at just five and six months old, so I have a lot of experience touring The World with infants.  I loved taking infants to the parks.  It really made us slow down and really take everything in.  It's also such a fun age and your little one will love looking around at everything.  it's a small world is a great attraction to take your infant on as the bright colors, songs and shapes really make for some great baby "eye candy".

    I wore both of my children in either a wrap or ring sling and rarely needed to remove them on an attraction, provided the lap restraint wasn't being obstructed.  I've never seen an official policy on wearing infants on rides and, in my personal experience, it always seemed to depend on the Cast Member working the attraction at the time.  I was able to wear my children on the Kilimanjaro Safaris® Expedition.  I think they both slept through their first Safari rides! 

    Coolers are permitted inside the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, provided they do not have wheels and are smaller than than 24" (61 cm) long x 15" (38 cm) wide x 18" (46 cm) high. (Coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations.)
