Hello, we are traveling Nov 10-16, 2013 to WDW and hope to take in many early Christmas sights. Will the Grand Floridian's Gingerbread house be ready to view by then?

    Hi Nancy,

You are traveling at a wonderful time of year ... I'm so excited for you! The life size gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian is such a treat to see, and I'm hoping you'll be able to catch it before you leave. Last year it was up somewhere just after your travel dates, but you might be able to see them build it.

I just love watching the time-lapsed video posted on the Disney Parks Blog from a few years ago. 1,050 pounds of honey, 600 pounds of sugar and 10,000 pieces of gingerbread sure make a most magnificent display!

I'll send you some virtual pixie dust, Nancy, that you'll see all the holiday decorations you're hoping for, and I wish you a magical visit to Walt Disney World.
