We are traveling on 11/1-7. I have not been to WDW since I was 9 and now I will be 40! :o) I was wondering how long it takes to travel from The Art of Animation to the castle as well as the Pirates League. I don't want to be late for reservations. TY

    Hi Kathleen!

I bet you're so excited to visit Walt Disney World again after so many years. You will absolutely love staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The bus trip via Walt Disney World Transportation will take you about 20 minutes. Buses generally run every 20 minutes, so if you have a Pirates League reservation (excellent choice, by the way!) you should give yourself at least an hour. You'll want to savor the walk down Main Street U.S.A. as you approach Cinderella Castle. You'll find Pirates League over in Adventureland right next to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, so the walk from the turnstiles to this location will take about 10-15 minutes. Again, you'll likely want to stop periodically so you may even want to leave your Resort Hotel about 1.5 hours prior to avoid feeling rushed once you enter Magic Kingdom.

My little swashbuckler loved her experience at Pirates League and we have fantastic photos to show for it! Let us know if you have any other questions, Kathleen, and thank you for visiting us.

    Happy planning.
