Hello, I am traveling from NJ. My flight arrives in ORlando at 9am. Is it possible to book a lightening lane before I arrive on property. For example at 7:00am from the airport in NJ.? Thanks

Hiya, Dawn! Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney. I’m so happy to be able to help you today.

Oh my goodness, in just a few short weeks, your family will be joining in on the fun of The World's Most Magical Celebration on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. During Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration, there is so much to enjoy, including the EAResistible celebratory bites found at every turn. If you end up visiting Magic Kingdom Park, I highly recommend heading over to the Churro Wagon in Frontierland to pick up the 50th Anniversary Churro! I never thought a churro could get even better, but the strawberry sugar and chocolate-hazelnut dipping sauce really knocked it out of the park!

I have great news, Dawn! You can absolutely make your lightning lane selections on the day you check in before you have even arrived at Walt Disney World! In fact, I have done this quite a few times right from the airport in New York. Before you take advantage of the benefits of Disney Genie+, you will just need to ensure you have your valid theme park entry tickets and park pass reservations linked in your My Disney Experience account. To check, you’ll want to open up your My Disney Experience app and open the menu by clicking on the three stacked lines in the bottom right corner. From there, click on “Future Plans,” and you will see your Disney Resort Collection hotel reservations, park pass reservations, and more.

If you have not yet had a chance you make your park pass reservations, you’ll definitely want to take care of that as soon as possible. As a reminder, you'll need to make a reservation for the first park you plan to visit each day. Then, if you've purchased the Park Hopper Option, you can hop over to another park after 2 p.m. each afternoon. To make your Park Pass Reservations, click on the “+” in the middle of the app navigation bar and click on “Make a Park Reservation.” From there, click on “Theme park Tickets,” and a separate browser window will open. You can then select the members of your party, the date of your visit, and the park you would like to reserve.

I do hope this was helpful to you, Dawn! If you have any questions ahead of your visit, please don't hesitate to stop by again! We would love to spread a little pixie dust and help you make the most of your vacation!

    Bye for now,
    Diana
