Traveling for 7 nights to WDW - would like character dining and dining that includes access to fireworks/parades that we can enjoy. My husband has only ever been for 2 days and our 18 mth old daughters first trip. What all should I reserve in advance?

    Hi, Katherine!

I am sure that you are getting excited about your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort.  I am glad to hEAR that you are planning ahead for what you would like to experience when you visit.  Dining reservations are highly recommended and can be made 180 days in advance, so now is the perfect time to be thinking about this.

Character dining is a great way to visit with your favorite Disney pals.  Some of my family's favorite character dining locations include Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill Restaurant, Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, and The Crystal Palace.  If you plan on dining at a restaurant inside one of the theme parks, booking a breakfast reservation prior to park opening is a great strategy.  This gets you inside the park earlier than most guests, so you have time to take some great photos without crowds in the background.  Sometimes you can even begin making your way to an attraction before other guests begin to arrive.

I would also recommend that you look into the Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace.  With its delicious treats and spectacular fireworks views, this is my favorite way to end a day at Magic Kingdom Park.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
