I will be traveling next year with my family of 6. Would the family suite at AoA or port orleans be a better choice? I know that AoA is more expensive but rooms are bigger. I've read some bad reviews on the AoA bus system, so I'm torn. Thanks!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tiffany!

First, I am so excited for you and your family to be planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Having stayed at both of these wonderful Disney Resort hotels, when it comes to amenities and theming, you really can’t go wrong! My concern, however, is that given the size of your party (6), your choice is to either go with a Family Suite at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort of 2 rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort- Riverside or Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter as a regular room fits a maximum of 5 Guests. As I have just returned from Disney’s Art of Animation, I can tell you that from personal experience, Disney’s Complimentary Transportation was fantastic and comparable to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside! A great perk to staying at a Port Orleans Disney Resort hotel, however, is that there is ferryboat transportation to Disney Springs.

Honestly, with having recently stayed in a Family Suite myself, I am leaning toward this option heavily as I was more than pleasantly surprised with the spaciousness of the room! Having 6 people in 1 room, you will really appreciate the 2nd bathroom! Also, the Big Blue Pool is so much fun! You can even hear your favorite Disney-Pixar pals when you dip yourself underwater!

I hope this helps you make your decision and please come and visit us again soon!
