Hi Daphne, and welcome to planDisney! What a wonderful multi-generational vacation you’re planning! I can’t think of a better place for the family to all be together and make memories to last a lifetime than Walt Disney World Resort.
Since you’d like to stay together and prepare some meals, the
Deluxe Villas are a fantastic option. Most 1-bedroom villas sleep up to 5 adults, plus a child under age 3 in a portable crib. If one of the children is young enough for the portable crib, this room size will work great for your family. If not, you’ll need a 2-bedroom villa, which sleeps up to 9 adults. There are some amazing benefits to both room types. They each come with a full kitchen for preparing meals, plus a washer and dryer. Those added bonuses have been a game changer for me during my vacations! In terms of the room layout, you’ll have a master bedroom, living room (with a convertible sofa bed or pull-down bed), and a dining area. The 2-bedroom villa will have an additional bedroom. What I love most about the Deluxe Villas is that they combine the comforts of home with plenty of space, right in the heart of the magic!
Another great option for you is the
Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. These sleep up to 6 adults and include a queen bed, a queen sofa bed, and bunk beds for the kids. The cabins are also equipped with full kitchens for those family meals. They are often priced a bit more affordably than the 1- and 2- bedroom villas, which can make the savings an added perk. Those savings might leave extra room in the budget for a fun experience together like
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue or an
Enchanting Extra!
Daphne, I hope this helps you choose the perfect home base for your family during your magical vacation! If you have any more questions as you make your plans,
stop back by and see me. I’m here to help you plan a visit that is “practically perfect in every way!”
Magically,
Casey
