We are traveling over New Years and planning to go to MK 12/29 & 1/3. The electric light parade is one of our favorite things! But times for these days online say 10:15 pm and 12:15 am. Is that correct? Why so late? My 5 year old won't make it that lat

    Hi there, Diana!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  You must be so excited about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World to ring in the New Year.  As of now, I am seeing the same schedule, but always keep an eye on times as your trip approaches.  It is possible that times could change, although I would be surprised if they did.  The parks will be busy, and with extended hours comes later parade times.  If parks are filled to capacity, they may stop allowing guests to enter the park.  It is for this reason that I would not recommend leaving Magic Kingdom Park expecting to return later. Normally I would recommend a break, however there are other ways to keep your 5 year old happy.  First, make sure he or she gets a long restful sleep the night before.  Allow time for plenty of rest breaks throughout the day.  Hop aboard the Walt Disney World Railroad for as long as you like.  Maybe your little one will even catch a few winks along the way.  I hope this helps you.

I wish you a truly magical vacation.
