We are traveling near the end of November. Are the resort pools open at that time, and is the weather usually warm enough to swim? Thank you.

    Hi there, Wendy!

Welcome back to planDisney! How exciting that you are heading back to The Most Magical Place on Earth in November. In my opinion, it's one of the best times of year to visit. Not only will you have the opportunity to enjoy the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, but Walt Disney World Resort will be twinkling in all of its Holiday glory!

Don't let the Christmas decor fool you, Wendy. Just because the theme parks will look like a winter wonderland, the average temperature this time of year is in the high 60s. Because of this, I'm happy to report that Disney Resort hotel swimming pools stay open year-round and are heated to approximately 82° for Guest enjoyment. Pending any storm or unseasonably cold weather that would cause the pools to temporarily close, you should have plenty of opportunities to just keep swimming during your vacation.

As a Mouseketeer who loves both summer and Christmas vacations, I can think of no better day than one spent enjoying breakfast with my favorite Disney characters in their beachy finest at 'Ohana or Cape May Cafe before sliding into my Disney Resort hotel pool all afternoon and concluding the evening under the snow and lights of Main Street, U.S.A. at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

I'll be thinking the happiest of thoughts for plenty of practically perfect poolside temperatures for you during your magical vacation, Wendy. As always, feel free to stop back by with any other planning questions you may have! I'm always happy to help!
