we will be traveling with a 8 yo 6 yo and an 8 month old. What rides can the baby ride on my lap? Also, how long is it reasonable to plan to stay in each park. I am thinking we will arrive in the parks around 9-9:30 and had back to our resort BWI by 4.

    Hi, there!

Stephanie, your magical vacation will be here before you know it. How very exciting! When we visit the Walt Disney World Resort this summer, we'll be traveling with our 8-year old son, 6-year old son, and 11-month old daughter - this will be our first visit as a family of five! I'm happy to answer your questions today.

    - At Magic Kingdom Park, I'll have my little princess on my lap for "it's a small world," Peter Pan's Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Jungle Cruise, Walt Disney World Railroad, and even Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean (we've found that our babies have been fine on the "dark rides" because they're too little to be frightened!).
    - In Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, our baby will be held on Kilimanjaro Safaris and Na'vi River Journey.
    - At Epcot, she'll sit on our lap for The Seas with Nemo & Friends, Frozen Ever After, Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros, Journey Into Imagination with Figment, Living with the Land, and Spaceship Earth.
    - In Disney's Hollywood Studios, our daughter will sit on a lap for Toy Story Mania!, but that attraction may not be open during your visit, Stephanie.

What's reasonable, in terms of time in the theme parks, is really dependent on your family! We've kept the same routine since our boys were really little. We arrive for park opening and ride as many attractions as we can through the morning (crowds are lightest at this time of day!). Then, we eat an early lunch at 11:00 AM, ride another attraction or two using FastPass+, and leave the park by 1:00 PM. We travel back to our Resort hotel for a swim and a nap (for everyone), and then head back to the park in the evening!

I hope this was helpful. Thanks for stopping by!
