I will be traveling with a 10 month old. My question is, restaurants that offer online booking, do I have to book a time to go or can I eat there without a reservation? Im unsure what times my son will be napping at that point and worry I will miss my time

    Crystal:

In my opinion, I strongly suggest that you book any table service restaurant ahead of time.

Yes, theoretically you are able to go to most any restaurant on property and see if they have stand-by reservations available. However, essentially you're hoping that someone who has made a reservation ahead of time doesn't shows up. At popular restaurants like Ohana, Le Cellier, and Chef Mickey's this is practically impossible. And with such a young baby, the last thing you need to be doing is spending hours looking for a restaurant with a seat or waiting for that seat.

If I were in your shoes, I'd make a reservation--or even two--and keep the Disney Dining number (407-939-3463) handy to cancel it in case you can't make it. It's better to have a reservation and give it up to some poor soul who is hoping for a stand-by seat than not to have one at all.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
