Hi there, Kristen, and welcome to planDisney!
Doing Disney World with a baby Mouseketeer just hits different. Experiencing the wonderful sights and sounds of the theme parks through the eyes of your child feels like an endless series of pinch-me moments. I am more than happy to provide you with tips and tricks for your upcoming vacations.
Let’s start with
Baby Care Centers. These are indoor, quiet areas for parents to take a break from the fun inside the theme parks. Most of them are located near the front of the parks, but you’ll want to check the
My Disney Experience app for their exact locations. From rocking chairs to sinks and bathrooms to a small kitchen, the centers have almost everything you need to make your little one comfortable. The best part? Access to them is 100% complimentary with your valid park admission.
When my boys were little, I liked to visit indoor play areas so they could get their wiggles out in a controlled environment. Are they entirely quiet? No. But in most of them, you can find a small corner where you can sit with your baby if you need a bit of space. One of my favorite play areas is the one found inside of the Dumbo ride’s queue. The Cast Members can even give you a buzz when it’s your turn to ride the attraction.
AN EXTRA GEM: If this will be your toddler’s first visit to Walt Disney World, swing by Guest Relations or a store near a park’s entrance to pick up a complimentary “First Visit” button. You can also get it personalized at
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe (Magic Kingdom) or at
Disney’s Days of Christmas store (Disney Springs) for a fee.
Kristen, I just know that you’re going to have quite the magical adventure with your family! Please don’t be a stranger if you have additional Disney vacation planning questions. Simply
revisit us here at planDisney. I’m all ears!
Magic always,
LeAndra
