Hey Jessica!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for sending us your excellent question about
traveling to Walt Disney World Resort with little ones!
As a babywearing mom myself, I am thrilled to answer your question. Babywearing makes traveling with a tiny Mouseketeer much simpler!
My baby’s first visit was at four months of age and during that visit, I chose to babywear her the entire time. As a safety precaution, your baby will need to be forward-facing on any attractions with a lap bar or safety belt.
However, I am happy to report that you do not need to remove your carrier on any attraction. My suggestion is to sit in the vehicle, unlatch your carrier and forward-face him on your lap — all while still keeping your carrier’s waistband latched.
This will allow you to quickly close your carrier's upper latch when the lap bar has lifted and you are exiting the ride vehicle. Examples of these types of “lap bar” attractions are: Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid and Haunted Mansion.
You will not need to remove him from his carrier or forward-face him on any rides that take place on a “boat” or that has bench-style seating. Examples of these types of attractions are: “it's a small world”, Frozen Ever After, Spaceship Earth and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Jessica, I encourage you to learn more about the
Baby Care Centers before your magical vacation! The Baby Care Centers offer the “practically perfect” place to feed, change and clean your baby while visiting the theme parks!
