Hi, We r traveling with our 8 month old in July and would love to go to table service places. Can you suggest the best time to make reservations? We'r used to going as a couple, this is the 1st time with our son so we're kinda nervous. We love your panel!

    Hi Samantha:

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I still remember the first time my husband took our daughter to Walt Disney World Resort, it is completely different and even more magical than going without children.  Seeing the joy on your son's face will be something you will never forget.  My husband and I enjoy dining at Table Service and Signature Dining locations and having a young child was not going to stop us from enjoying a great meal.  My best piece of advice would be to schedule your dining around your son's schedule, to keep mealtime as similar to his normal routine as possible.  If that makes you nervous, the dining locations are typically least busy during off peak dining times, so schedule a late breakfast or early dinner.  Also please keep in mind that you are at Walt Disney World Resort.  There are thousands of children dining at Table Service Locations daily, so your son will be in good company.  There is absolutely no need to be nervous.  When my daughter was small, I would always make sure I had a few toys and games in my purse to make sure she was occupied while waiting for our meals.  If she did fuss, I would take her outside for a bit and come back when she had calmed down.

I hope that helps Samantha.  Please let us know if you have any other questions as your vacation approaches.  We are here to help.
