Hello Deborah! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
How exciting that a new Mouseketeer will soon be visiting Walt Disney World Resort for the very first time. No doubt, Grandmother will be proud to show Mickey Mouse his newest fan!
When using
Disney Bus Transportation at Walt Disney World Resort, all strollers must be folded and stowed out of the aisle. You will have to separate the car seat from the stroller, place it on its own seat on the bus and collapse the base part of the stroller. The child may stay in a car seat while in a bus seat. Transportation via the monorail and some of the boats do not require you to collapse the stroller or remove the child from their stroller.
During our Walt Disney World Resort vacations, we rent a double stroller for my kids. While on the bus, my wife sits with the kids and I stand with the collapsed stroller to keep it out of the aisle. It is a troublesome task, but a necessary one. Usually, the process of hiring a taxi or renting a car is more difficult because you have to make a special request for car seats, however, since your stroller comes with a detachable car seat, you may find it a suitable alternative (although you'd still have to collapse the stroller).
If you find your grandchild needing a break from the Endless Magic at the Walt Disney World Resort, there are Baby Care Centers located in each of the Theme Parks that provide
a convenient and quiet location to nurse, change and feed the baby.
If you do pay a visit to Mickey Mouse, you may want to consider Memory Maker to ensure that Disney PhotoPass Photographers
capture your grandchild's first experience with the "Big Cheese". Have a Magical First Visit!
