I am traveling with a 7 month old for the first time and am very nervous about her getting antsy in the parks and hot. Any tips for going to the parks with a little one? Thank you!

Hi Kristy! Please stay calm and just get excited about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. It will be so much fun to see your little seven month old take in the new sights and sounds of the magical world of Disney. I fondly remember taking my own children when they were younger then a year and those memories are still so vivid.

If you are going in the summer months the weather will likely be hot and humid and you must also prepare for rain showers each day. I suggest you purchase one of the small clip on fans you can get for the stroller. They are relatively inexpensive and it makes sure even inside a stroller the baby will have air circulating. Dress the baby in cool light colors but also bring a light wrap for inside air conditioned attractions or restaurants or shops. Hydration is also one of the most important things not only for the children but for the adults as well. These are the three most important things to remember for them to remain comfortable.

If your child begins to get antsy then deviate from your plans. Don't feel so structured that you have to keep on a strict schedule. Each park has a wonderful Baby Care Center where you can sit and feed your child or change diapers or just relax in a quiet atmosphere. Take advantage of this area to refresh both you and your child.

I promise if you stay relaxed then your child will also. If they are not comfortable enough to enjoy an attraction that is planned then forget it and go back later. There is a lot of magic happening no matter what you do!
