I am traveling with my mom and 14 month old..we want o have a great experience and see Epcot and Magic Kingdom. We also would love a deluxe hotel, any suggestions on budgeting, meal plans, and dinner reservations? We don't know where to start!!!

Megan, this sounds like the perfect vacation for you!  Sometimes just getting started is the hard part!

First select your dates for your trip.  Call for a resort reservation at 407-934-7639.  Since you are traveling with a 14 month old I would suggest the Polynesian resort if you enjoy being close to the Magic Kingdom or the Yacht or Beach resorts which allow you to walk to EPCOT.  All are superior locations with similar amenities.  The pool at the Yacht and Beach Club is the best on property with zero entry sandy bottomed swimming areas that are perfect for the little toddlers.  If you think you will spend more time at the Magic Kingdom then the Polynesian and its location can't be beat for that park.

The Disney Dining Plans allow you to have your vacation paid for before hand but we don't generally use them.  We enjoy making one table service reservation per day which allows us to sit and relax and reflect on the magic.  The parks have some wonderful counter service options where we fill in for the other meal. We purchase simple breakfast items from the resort stores to keep in the room. (The deluxe resorts have small refrigerators).

Plan a simple itinerary so you know what park you will be in on what day.  You can check the park calendars at the main website, www.disneyworld.com, to see hours.  Choose your dining to coincide where you will be that day.  Don't forget the great restaurant choices located in your resort or nearby resorts as well.  Plan at least one character dining experience. Chef Mickey is our favorite but consider Cape May and Crystal Palace as well. All reservations can be made 180 days out by calling 407-939-3463.

Review the attractions for both parks on the website and then make a list of those you think the three of you would enjoy. There is more to share so be sure and write back!
