Hello, Chrystle! Welcome back to planDisney. It's great to see you sail our way.
How exciting to be cruising out of the lovely
Port of Miami! I recently enjoyed sailing from this lively city, and while my time in Miami was brief, I found it to be beautiful. I especially enjoyed the views from the ship as we began to set sail.
I appreciate a carefree travel experience and often look for hotels that offer shuttle services. I'm not sure if this hotel shuttle offers seatbelts, but the Comfort Suites Miami Airport North currently offers a shuttle from the airport to the hotel and also from the hotel to the cruise port. If this hotel seems to suit your travel preferences, I recommend that you call to inquire about car seat use on the shuttles.
If you are interested in a more upscale hotel before your luxurious voyage begins, you can book a pre-cruise hotel night in Miami through Disney Cruise Line. You will have your choice between EB Hotel Miami (which offers a free hotel shuttle) and Hyatt Centric Brickell Miami. To book these hotels along with ground transportation, you may
call Disney Cruise Line. A friendly agent will be happy to assist you. When booking
ground transfers to the Port of Miami through Disney Cruise Line, the vehicles used can vary between a private car, shuttle van, or motorcoach. If a motorcoach is used, guests who bring a car seat will need to stow the item in the luggage compartment underneath the motorcoach.
Chrystie, your best option for traveling to the cruise terminal may be to use a rideshare service, such as Lyft. You can schedule a car ahead of time, and choose a larger vehicle that will accommodate your luggage and car seats. This is what I did most recently to travel to the Port of Miami and it worked well for my family.
I hope that I have presented you with an option that will work best for your sailing crew. I know that many magical memories are in your future! Adventure is out there!
