I am traveling in May 2020 on the Disney Fantasy with twin 4 year olds. We are going to Tortola and St. Thomas, can you recommend some shore excursions in both ports? Thanks!

    Hi there, Lauren!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so excited to hEAR you have a Disney Cruise Line vacation on your calendar!  You are going to have the most FANTAStic time and I am so thrilled for you and your family!  Your little Mouseketeers are going to LOVE it…with character experiences, incredible entertainment and non-stop activities, so much fun is going to be had and so many memories are going to be made!

My family loves visiting St. Thomas and Tortola when cruising with Captain Mickey!  In fact, I remember adding Tortola to my “bucket list” of destinations and I am so glad I did as it did not disappoint!  One of our favorite things to do in St. Thomas is visiting the Coral World Ocean Park!  It was a perfect adventure for our littles, and they loved being able to get up close and personal with the sea creatures!  Disney Cruise Line offers excursions there, with scheduled tours at the park, but we opted to take a taxi (readily available outside the port) so that we could explore at our own pace and stay as long as we wanted!  But, please note that you would unlikely have car seats for the taxi ride, so you would want to be comfortable buckling your littles into a seatbelt for the approximately 30-minute ride.

I also recommend having a beach day in Tortola!  Nothing better than soft sandy beaches and crystal-clear water to play in!  Be sure to bring some sand toys from the dollar store (so they are disposable after your trip) for even more fun!  Disney Cruise Line offers a couple different beach destinations, so I recommend looking at the times available (as well as the duration) and finding the one that best fits your needs!

Your onboard activities booking window will open 75 days prior to your voyage, so make sure you have that date on your calendar!  I also recommend talking up the onboard Youth Clubs with your littles, especially if they are a bit apprehensive, so get them excited about those!  Because, there is nothing better than being able to check them in for some fun while you get to enjoy a bit of relaxation sans kiddos!

    Happy Sailing!
