Hi, there!
Nicholas, I'm so excited to hear you'll be visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort next month with your precious family. You're sure to have a magical stay!
Traveling with an infant in tow certainly requires some additional planning. There's always extra items that need packed and extra things that need to be taken into consideration, like the logistics of dining out. I totally understand your concern; my 6-month old babies were never very sturdy in a standard high-chair either. Unfortunately, you'll only find standard high-chairs and boosters available at
Table-Service Restaurants. I have a few solutions that you might find helpful, though. Your little guy might do well if he's propped up a bit in the high-chair. I used to place a rolled-up blanket behind and in front of my babies to fill up the extra space in high chairs, which gave them some additional support. You may also want to consider purchasing something like a baby high chair harness. These can be stored in a backpack and easily slipped over the back of a regular chair. I'm sure you'll have a stroller on hand too. At some restaurants, like Sanaa (my personal favorite), you'll be permitted to take your stroller into the dining room with you. My babies have eaten many a meal in the stroller and our stroller has the stains to prove it! For safety reasons, you won't be able to do this at some restaurants, but it never hurts to ask. Just be sure to ask when you first check-in for your reservation.
I hope this was helpful, Nicholas. If you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, please let me know. I'd love to help you plan a magical visit!
