We are traveling on the Magic out of San Diego next week! Are there water bottle filling stations around the ship? Or is water only available at the beverage stations outside the buffet?

    Ahoy, Catherine!

Welcome back to planDisney! That is so exciting that you are just a few days away from setting sail on the Disney Magic. It’s my favorite ship, and with embarkation day right around the corner, you’re almost at that "let the magic begin" moment. Let’s make sure you’re ready to find all the water refill spots onboard.

The great news is there are quite a few locations where you can refill your water, and you’ve absolutely nailed the first location, which is the beverage station located on the pool deck. Those beverage stations are the main go-to spots for water, and they’re available 24 hours a day, so they’re incredibly convenient when you’re moving between activities, grabbing soft-serve, or before heading down to the evening show.

I know you’re a seasoned Disney cruiser, which means you also know that you can get water from Cabanas during the breakfast and lunch operating hours. That’s always a reliable stop if you’re dining there and want to top off your bottle before heading out for more fun. Since we’re already talking about the pool deck, you can actually go up one more deck to Deck 10 Forward and find the Wide World of Sports Deck (basketball court area), where you’ll find a water refill station that’s perfect if your crew is burning off energy with a quick game.

Or you can stay on the pool deck and head to Senses Spa to find a water station near the locker rooms. My wife’s favorite spot is actually inside the fitness area, where they will often have cucumber water and lemon water, along with regular water. It feels like one of those little hidden gems onboard.

If you’re adventuring down on the lower decks and need some water, you can head out to the walking or jogging track to find another station. That one is especially handy if you’re getting those morning laps in or just taking a peaceful stroll around the ship while the ocean stretches out in every direction.

Now, I see you’ve sailed the Disney Wonder a few times, so finding your way around on the Magic should be a breeze. The layouts are very similar, so you’ll probably feel like you’ve stepped into a familiar storybook with a few exciting new chapters waiting to be discovered. One other location for water you won’t find on the Wonder is the AquaDunk. While I don’t recommend drinking this water, it is one of my favorite water attractions across all of the ships. I love the thrill of the drop, and the fact that it’s unique makes it feel like stepping into one of those daring moments from The Emperor’s New Groove, where you take the plunge and hope for the best.

I hope this helps you feel confident about staying hydrated as you explore every deck of the Magic next week. With so many refill spots available, you’ll never be too far from a cool drink while you chase down your next adventure.

Sea ya real soon as springtime magic carries us from one adventure to the next,
