Hi there Wali and welcome back to planDisney - it's great to have you back on board!
I hope you're getting excited about your upcoming sailing on the
Disney Magic; as you might know, she'll be calling
New Orleans home for the first time and there will be so many exciting things to do in the city to celebrate!
Since you'll be sailing on a 5-Night Western Caribbean Cruise, you can look forward to the following evenings with suggested themed-attire:
- A Dress-Up night where I've seen fellow shipmates go all out to dress to impress with everything from sleek suits to glittery gowns! I especially love people-watching on this evening in the dining rooms and the Walt Disney Theatre, because the suggested attire is completely optional and you'd sometimes have the most interesting combinations of clothing seated side by side!
- A Pirate Night where guests may feel compelled to don an eye patch or bandana - or even full pirate regalia befitting of Captain Barbossa!
I would however suggest packing an additional Smart Casual or semi-formal look in case you're interested in having
professional photos taken at Shutters or
dining at Palo over the course of your voyage. On 5-Night Itineraries where you're likely to repeat the
same location twice in your Dining Rotation, this could be a great opportunity for you and your crew to dress in matching attire and enjoy taking photos together around the ship. I've even seen guests commemorate the first day of their trip by dressing in bright nautical colors as they celebrate setting sail at
Mickey's Sail-A-Wave Party!
Feel free to come back again to planDisney and
ask me anything that will help you on your upcoming journeys, and be sure to check out
this helpful Pocket Guide that our team put together! Wishing you and your crew all the best in your quest to be appropriately dressed!
