I am traveling to Magic Kingdom with twins. One wants to ride on the oldest ride and the other wants to ride on the newest ride. Can you help me with this one?

    Hi Hilda,

I think the newest "brand new" attraction in the Magic Kingdom is "Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor".  It opened in 2007.  I can't think of anything "brand new" opening in 2008 or 2009.  However, the latest attraction to re-open after undergoing a refurbishment is Space Mountain.  It just re-opened in November 2009 and it is great!  Space Mountain is my favorite attraction at Walt Disney World.

For the oldest attraction, there is no single one.  Several attractions that were at the Magic Kingdom on opening day still exist today.  That includes the Swiss Family Treehouse, Snow White's Scary Adventures, it's a small world, Dumbo, Jungle Cruise, Country Bear Jamboree, Peter Pan's Flight, Hall of Presidents, Haunted Mansion, and Tomorrowland Speedway.  I didn't list the Enchanted Tiki Room as it is a lot different than the original attraction, which opened under the name Tropical Serenade.

    Have a magical vacation!
