Hi there, Sarah!
Ahoy and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you sailed by with your question about your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation! It will be here before you know it and I love that you are thinking ahead and ensuring you have everything ready to go!
It sounds like you have already received your
“Mickey Mail”!! It is always an exciting day at my house when that envelope arrives with our cruise documents and luggage tags because it means vacation is so soon! While I always strive to travel “light”, I regularly find myself with more than I planned – and ultimately, I find myself not needing any of those “extras” that I just couldn’t leave back at home! But my husband and I have committed that on our next Disney Cruise Line vacation we each get a small carry-on size suitcase – and that is it! I am determined to do that and know my boys can do it, but I am not so sure my husband will be as successful! Soon enough we will find out, though!
You do NOT need to attach a luggage tag to your carry-on bags. Instead, just affix the luggage tags to the bags that you plan on checking with the porters when you arrive at the port for embarkation. Now, you certainly CAN attach one to your bag and still carry it on, but that would only be for identification purposes and completely not necessary. I do recommend waiting to
affix the luggage tags until you are just about to head to the port (or even when you arrive at the port) so that they do not accidentally get removed or damaged. But the porters will have extras, if needed!
Planning and preparing for your cruise is so much fun, but the real fun begins when you step foot onboard! Get ready for an adventure you won’t soon forget! Make certain you have the
Navigator app downloaded so you have access to all the activities and entertainment onboard because you won’t want to miss a thing!
Wishing you nothing short of a magical adventure! Say hi to Captain Mickey for me!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
