I will be traveling in late August and am trying to decide on which meal paln to pruchase. I wll be trveling with my husband and 4 and 6 year sons.We will be traveling with 2 other families and hope to par take in some of the grand gatherings. Which meal

    Tammy:

You'll really enjoy Disney when you share it friends!

With two young children, the Deluxe Dining Plan, in my opinion simply offers too much food. I recommend the Basic Dining Plan, as it saves you more money over the Quick Service Plan. In fact Disney's claims of up to 30 to 40% off your meals are spot-on.

Fellow Disney Mom Amber gives a little more insight into the difference plans here.

The Basic Dining Plan offers good value, especially if you're going to take the children to a few Character Meals. It allows several families to eat together without the uncomfortable hassle of who's picking up the check. But the best part about the Basic Plan is that you can use meal credits toward either the Safari Celebration Dinner at Animal Kingdom, the Good Morning Character Breakfast in Magical Kingdom, or the International Dinner and Illuminations Dessert Reception at Epcot--which is wonderful when you don't have worry about finding a place for you all to be together to watch the fireworks!

One piece of advice: book your Magical Gathering Experiences as soon as possible as space is limited (407) 934-7639 and have your Magical Gathering number handy.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
