Hi moms we are traveling last week of August purposely for the free DDP offer. What r the crowds (since its the first week back to school for most) and weather like then? And are there still extra magic hours offered since that is considered off season?

Hi Janette! You are picking a great time to experience Walt Disney World for the Free Dining offer as well as the crowds. Late August and September have historically been some of the lower crowd attendance weeks. This is why Disney offers the great Free Dining offer at this time. This offer of course draws more guests but the parks will still be less crowded then most other months of the year. Weather is still going to be quite hot. The humidity is what usually zaps your energy so make sure you stay hydrated and try not to book your days so tight that you can't take your time and enjoy the parks at a leisurely pace. The temperatures on average range from 73-90 degrees and you will still find the daily rain showers happening. Just go prepared when you leave for the parks and have rain jackets tucked away. There are enough great attractions you can enjoy inside until the showers run their course. This is also a good time to consider a trip to one of the Disney water parks to cool off! Disney offers the Extra Magic Hours through-out the year. The hours do vary at different times but you will still have the opportunity to enjoy this great resort guest amenity.
