Hi there, Casey! Welcome to planDisney!
It looks like a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the riverbend for you! October is a great time of the year to visit. I'll be wishing upon a star for great weather and even more magical memories.
Casey, it seems that you are a seasoned veteran when it comes to making
advance dining reservations at the Walt Disney World Resort. Traveling with a large group can be tricky when it comes to satisfying that "rumbly in your tumbly," but it seems like you're already ahead of the game. Unfortunately, Casey, there is no way to merge two smaller reservation sizes into one larger reservation. The main reason for this is that some dining locations can only support groups of eight Guests or fewer. Depending on the restaurants you've chosen, there may not be a table that exists for a party that size. The restaurants that can host larger parties only have a few tables available to do so. If you were unable to find the reservation for nine Guests initially, it is likely because those reservations were already taken.
When you arrive at the restaurant, you will be able to check in with a Cast Member at the podium and request that your two tables be close to one another. While there are no guarantees, these magic-making Cast Members will do their absolute best to grant your wishes.
Casey, even with two smaller tables, you will have an excellent dining experience! You will also be visiting during the ever-so-popular
EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, so your dining and snacking options are doubled, maybe tripled, in size! Eating at the
Global Marketplaces around the World Showcase is a great option for larger travel parties. You'll be able to sample many delicious dishes while finding a cuisine that everyone enjoys!
Have a magical day,
Ashley
