We are traveling with a large group and the travel coordinator has our Disney tickets. We will not have our tickets until the day of our Disney visit. Can I add the Fast Pass/Genie that same day?

    Hi there, Jennifer!

Welcome to planDisney! How fun to visit the Disneyland Resort with a big group, I hope you're all ready to ring in 2024!

Yes! You are welcome to purchase Disney Genie+ Service by using the Disneyland Mobile App when you enter the park. I recommend downloading the app before your visit, so when you arrive you'll be good to go! Once you have your ticket you can link it to the mobile app by following these steps:

    1. Open the Disneyland Mobile App and tap the "☰" to open the main menu
    2. Tap "Tickets and Passes"
    3. Tap the "+" in the top right corner and choose "Link Tickets & Passes"
    4. Link your ticket by either scanning the barcode with your phone or typing the Ticket ID Number into the app
Once your ticket is linked you can tap the home icon at the bottom left to return to the main screen of the app. From there you should see a banner for "Disney Genie+ Service" with a button that says "Purchase" on the screen. When you tap the button you can read the details about Disney Genie+ Service, then select "Get Disney Genie+ Service" at the bottom of the screen. Then you'll select your ticket (that's why we linked your ticket first) and complete your purchase.

Just in case you get your ticket from the travel coordinator early, know that you can link the ticket to the app in advance but you will not be able to purchase Disney Genie+ Service until you enter the park.

The Disneyland Mobile App is great for selecting Lightning Lanes, but it has a lot more power, too! You can use the app to mobile order from eligible dining locations, check wait times, access the park maps, find the entertainment schedule, and more! Don't forget that your Disney Genie+ Service includes the super fun Disney PhotoPass Lenses in the app (a really fun way to pass time in line) and digital downloads of your attraction photos and photos taken by Disney PhotoPass Photographers! You'll just need to open the "Photos" section of the app to link your attraction photos by entering the Photo ID (on the preview screens as you exit the attraction) and let the photographers in the park scan the barcode in the app and your photos will magically appear.

Jennifer, it looks like you'll be saying "See ya!" to 2023 in the most magical way possible! Don't forget to take a water bottle, a jacket, and some extra patience because New Year's Eve can be busy in the parks. Use the app to order food faster, maybe rent a locker to store your gear, and get ready to start 2024 off right!

    Keep moving forward!
