    We are traveling with a large group (dance team) on a group reservation. Can we still use My Disney Experience so we can get into the Virtual Queue’s or buy lightening passes?

    Hi Lauren!

    Welcome to planDisney!  It's always a pleasure to help a fellow Marylander get ready for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  It looks like your trip starts TOMORROW!  Let's get those tickets linked so you are ready to enjoy the magic that awaits!

    Lauren, when you purchased your tickets they either would have linked directly to your My Disney Experience account or you should have received an email containing a ticket number.  If your tickets are not already linked to your account, you can do this on the Walt Disney World Resort website or in the My Disney Experience Mobile App.  In the app, you'll want to press the three lines in the bottom right corner and then click on "My Tickets & Passes."  Then you can select "Link Tickets & Passes" from the upper right corner (sometimes you have to click a + sign at the top to see this option).  Once your tickets have been linked, you can assign them to your Family and Friends.  If you run into any technical problems, you can always call a Cast Member at Existing Tickets or stop by a Guest Relations location once you arrive.

    You'll also want to double-check that your tickets do not require a theme park reservation.  As of January 9, 2024, theme park reservations are no longer required for date-based tickets.  You can check your tickets in your My Disney Experience app to confirm if your ticket is assigned to a specific date range or not.  

    After your tickets have been linked, you should have no problems entering the Virtual Queue for TRON Lightcycle / Run or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.  If you choose to purchase Disney Genie+ during your visit, you will also be able to make Lightning Lane selections throughout the day.  As a reminder, Disney Genie+ can be purchased each day of your trip beginning at midnight.  Don't forget that some rides also have Individual Lightning Lanes available for purchase separate from Genie+.  You should be able to complete these selections for yourself as well as those linked on your Family and Friends List.  Your first Lightning Lane selection and Virtual Queue entry can be reserved beginning at 7:00 AM each morning and your first Individual Lightning Lane purchase can be made at 7:00 AM if you're staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel or at the time of park opening if you're staying off-property.  If you need any assistance in the parks with making these selections on the My Disney Experience Mobile App, just look for a Cast Member under the blue tents (located throughout the parks) who will be happy to help!
