I am traveling with 5 ladies 70's to 80's with one in a scooter. We want to do the Monorail Bar Crawl, especially Trader Sams Grog Grotto. How do we get to the Polynesian from Contemporary if the monorail isn't stopping there?

    Hi Lynne! Welcome to planDisney!

You are speaking my language! Your plans are exactly what my plans would be if I was traveling with my closest girlfriends to the Most Magical Place on Earth. In fact, I think you should probably take me with you as your guide around the resorts!

When it comes to traveling by monorail from Disney's Contemporary Resort to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, I would simply take the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center, then use the short walking path to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. It's not a very long walk to the Great Ceremonial House (shorter than the walk between Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa) and is gorgeous!

During my last few stays at these resorts, there was a bus that would take Guests between these Disney Resorts Collection hotels during specific hours in the evenings. I believe it was called the "Resort Bus Loop" bus. Before heading to the Transportation and Ticket Center via monorail, you could ask a Cast Member at Disney's Contemporary Resort if the bus is operating to save yourself the walk from the monorail.

Personally, I would choose the walk from the Transportation and Ticket Center simply because it is so beautiful! It also might help to walk off a drink or two from Disney's Contemporary Resort. *wink wink*

Have a Piña CoLAVA for me, Lynne! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
