Hi Lynne! Welcome to planDisney!
You are speaking my language! Your plans are exactly what my plans would be if I was traveling with my closest girlfriends to the Most Magical Place on Earth. In fact, I think you should probably take me with you as your guide around the resorts!
When it comes to traveling by monorail from
Disney's Contemporary Resort to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, I would simply take the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center, then use the short walking path to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. It's not a very long walk to the Great Ceremonial House (shorter than the walk between Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa) and is gorgeous!
During my last few stays at these resorts, there was a bus that would take Guests between these Disney Resorts Collection hotels during specific hours in the evenings. I believe it was called the "Resort Bus Loop" bus. Before heading to the Transportation and Ticket Center via
monorail, you could ask a Cast Member at Disney's Contemporary Resort if the bus is operating to save yourself the walk from the monorail.
Personally, I would choose the walk from the Transportation and Ticket Center simply because it is so beautiful! It also might help to walk off a drink or two from Disney's Contemporary Resort. *wink wink*
Have a
Piña CoLAVA for me, Lynne! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
