We are traveling with our 3 kids to WD in Dec. Their ages are 14,12, &11. We plan on staying at MK for MVMCP. Besides the parade what is the pro's to staying for the party? Should we arrive more toward the afternoon so we can stay for the night?

Greetings, Dean, welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great questions.

Walt Disney World Resort's Planning for Older Kids,Tweens and Teens is the perfect planning tool offering suitable accommodations, experiences, attractions, entertainment, sample itineraries and more in preparation for your vacation.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a popular annual not to be missed, separate ticketed event offered during Disney's Holiday Events and Celebrations. Magic Kingdom park actually closes to all except Guests with separate tickets for this incredible holiday party typically beginning at 7:00 PM. May I suggest you spend the day resting in preparation for this exciting party that runs until midnight (subject to change). We always enjoy a late lunch or early dinner and then head into Magic Kingdom park soon after. I would love to share all the special events and festivities but I don't want to spoil the first-time Disney magic for you, Dean.

May I invite you to consider Disney's Magic Your Way Vacation Packages which include a Disney Resort hotel, theme park tickets, and the option to add in a Disney Dining Plan package. You'll have exclusive conveniences and amenities as a Disney Resort hotel Guest.

Once booked, customize your vacation through My Disney Experience online and mobile app.

    Best Disney Wishes Dean~
