We are traveling with 3 kids (7 (boy), 4 (girl) and 20 months (girl)) from Nov 2-9. I am having a hard time pinning down the dates to do the parks based on how crowded they are. We definitely want to do MK and Epcot, but can't decide between HS and AK.

    Hi, Amita!

    Great question!

Careful planning can make a big difference when a family travels to Walt Disney World...especially if you're there with little princesses and princes!

When I need to know what the crowds will be like during a trip to WDW, I check out touringplans.com, a great unofficial crowd-predicting website. According to touringplans, the crowd level estimates for the time of your stay, on a scale of 1-10, are the following:

    11/2/13: MK-5 ; EP-6 ; HS-4 ; AK-3
    11/3/13: MK-4 ; EP-4 ; HS-4 ; AK-4
    11/4/13: MK-6; EP-4 ; HS-4 ; AK-2
    11/5/13: MK-5; EP-5 ; HS-4 ; AK-3
    11/6/13: MK-4; EP-5 ; HS-4 ; AK-3
    11/7/13: MK-4; EP-5 ; HS-6 ; AK-4
    11/8/13: MK-5; EP-7 ; HS-6 ; AK-6
    11/9/13: MK-6; EP-7 ; HS-6 ; AK-6

I bolded the two least-crowded parks on each day (more, in the case of a tie) and suggest that you consider touring one of those parks on those days.

Now, if you have park tickets which enable you to see EACH of the four main parks in WDW, I suggest that you see all of them! Disney's Hollywood Studios will have some really neat things for your little ones to see, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park does as well. AK is a park which can be done in about 1/2 a day, so maybe you can pair this with a trip to Downtown Disney for dining and shopping or go early one morning and head back to your resort for a lazy afternoon at the hotel.

Send more questions as you think of them, Amita! We love to help!
