Hi we are traveling in June with an infant and littles as well as older kids, so planning on doing the rider switch. Have not done it in a number of years. Has anything changed? I am reading about a holding area. Are there things to do in this area?

    Howdy Desiree!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Congratulations on your upcoming, June, Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Hooray!

My kiddos are 7-years-apart, so we have often used the Rider Switch Service. It is fabulous! In my experience it hasn't changed much over the years. Your whole party will need to visit the Cast Member at the front of the participating attraction, where you will receive a Rider Switch pass. Then the riding party will get in line, while the waiting party will sit with those who can't or don't want to board. Once the riding party is finished they will switch places and the waiting party will use the Rider Switch pass to board the attraction without waiting in the standard line. I've never waited in a designated area, but instead just near the entrance of the attraction. Also, the Rider Switch pass only allows 2 Guests per pass, so make sure everyone else rides the first "go 'round."

Planning with kids of all ages can be super fun, so if I can offer any assistance or recommendations, please let me know with another question.

    Magical Wishes,
