We are traveling in June 2017. We are flexible with our arrival and departure dates. We would like to stay a total of eight days. What weeks in June 2017 will be the best weeks to be in the parks and travel to Orlando?

    Hello, Paschal,

How exciting that you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World for next year!  June is always my family's month to visit, and we really try to go within the first two weeks of the month.  While there are many schools that have wrapped up the school year by then, there are still many others that are still in session so it helps to keep the crowds a bit lighter than what you may find in late June and July.  It can still be hot and rainy, but we've also experienced many days in June with lovely weather that wasn't too hot or too wet. For us, it is a great match.

To help with your planning, there is also a non-Disney sponsored event for families and members of the LGBT community the first week of June, which may increase crowds at the parks.  We have gone many times during this time period and aside from the Magic Kingdom on the first Saturday in June, we have not noticed a large increase in crowds.  However, there is always that possibility of higher attendance during this time.

An added perk to visiting during the first week in June is that while the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival has concluded, there are often floral displays that have not been taken down yet so you may have a chance to enjoy some extra beauty at Epcot.

As you continue to plan your trip, please let us know how we can help.  -Kara
