I am traveling in January 2026 and waiting for the salute ticket. When will it be announced

Hi ya, Ashley, and welcome to planDisney.

I am happily shouting, “The Wait is Over!”. We, too, are a military family, and as the planner in the family, I found myself anxiously waiting for the renewal of the military offer. Funny story, I saw the Disney Parks Blog Post and shared the exciting news with my husband. It wasn’t until later in the day that I realized the new military offer that was added. A year full of Disney visits? Count me in!

I am currently trying to work out the school calendar and our personal calendar so that we can squeeze in a visit in January as well. I told my husband to plan for Disney once a month for 2026. Luckily, my sister is local, so it will double as a Disney vacation and a family visit.

As you prepare for this upcoming visit, I recommend calling your local military ticketing office to see when you are able to purchase your tickets. As of a few days ago, my local MWR did not have them available to purchase just yet. Please also keep in mind that you will need to schedule a theme park reservation when using the 2026 military offer, so plan to do that once your tickets are in hand and have been linked.

If you haven’t done so already, I recommend booking your resort room now. My family is very much an “in the parks” type of family. So we usually book a Value Resort and splurge in the parks. Things like dining reservations and Enchanting Extras are what we like to splurge on. Specifically, Character Dining! My little ones love seeing their favorite Characters over breakfast or dinner. If you haven’t already, check out Tusker House for breakfast. It’s both fun and delicious!

Ashley, I can’t wait to see what your visit, or this year, has in store for you. Have the best visit, and if there’s anything else we can help with, please let us know.

    Dream Big,

    Shantel
