We are traveling in January during Marathon week with my 1 y/o. What are some recommendations for attractions and rides for her to participate in? She doesn't really understand TV or characters yet, so she isn't recognizing anyone.

    Hello Nicole!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking such a great question.  I have visited the Walt Disney World Resort several times with my little ones and it is always fun to see the magic in their eyes, no matter their age.

There is a whole planning site dedicated to Planning for Pre-School Kids and Little Ones.  Here you will find sample itineraries, attractions perfect for your little princess and even some great ideas to celebrate her "Disney firsts." When my daughter was that age, she absolutely loved "it's a small world" and watching all of the parades.  She especially adored the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party and would dance to the music while she watched the performers do the same. Dumbo the Flying Elephant was another favorite and the circus-themed play area inside even has an area for kids just her size.

Regardless of what you plan for your adventure, your daughter will have a wonderful time and as much as you will love watching the joy on her face, she will be the one watching you smile! Have a wonderful trip and please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
