I will be traveling with my insulin pen for the first time. I have a short plane ride but will get pop century to hold my luggage until my room is ready. My insulin pen is fine in temps no higher than 80 degrees. Is Pops bag area climate controlled?

Hi Amanda! Welcome back the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love when our guests come back.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort is one of my absolute favorite resort hotels at the Walt Disney World Resort. It takes me back to my childhood and I find myself smiling all of the time. There are so many details throughout the resort and so many fun activities. My kids love the Hippy Dippy Pool and if I let them they would spend the whole day splashing around!

Each trip I have to travel with medications that need to be refrigerated for my children. I always pack them in a small soft cooler with 2 ice packs in there. Once I arrive at my resort I always make sure to alert the cast member at the baggage area that the cooler needs to be refrigerated. Each time I have done this, the cast members have been incredibly helpful! So I would suggest just asking if your insulin pen could be refrigerated, this way you have peace of mind knowing that the medication will be safe and sound while you start enjoying your vacation. Also keep in mind that your room may even be ready early, and hopefully you won’t even have to worry about needing to store the insulin pen!

I hope you have a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time!
