Hi Terri,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!
During my little guy’s first visit to Walt Disney World Resort when he was almost 6 months old, we stayed at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort too. It was an absolutely wonderful stay, one that allowed us to come and go from Magic Kingdom Park as we pleased.
Another great advantage was being able to be a few steps away from our room when we would watch the
nightly fireworks spectacular. You’ll definitely be able to see and hear the fireworks during your stay; your in-room TV has a dedicated “fireworks” channel for the show’s audio.
That being said, even if you don’t have a room with a Theme Park View, you’ll still be able to catch the show with ease! Because we’re Disney Vacation Club Members, we were able to see the fireworks at the observation deck at Top of the World Lounge every night, without any problems. If you’re not a Member, there are other observation decks located throughout the resort, especially in the main tower over at
Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
