Traveling with my husband and our three boys (6,5 & 2) in March 2011. The 2 year old still naps, but he really needs his own space. We can't afford a 2 bdrm. Any suggestions? Has anyone put a crib in a bathroom? thanks so much!

    Hi Katherine!

You don't mention where you're staying, so I'll run through a couple of scenarios with you.  We've only had ONE trip in the past 5 years where we DIDN'T have a pack-n-play in the room, so I understand how important that space is for the little ones.

We found what works best is to put the pack-n-play in the curtained vanity area of the value and moderate resorts.  The pack-n-play will not fit in the bathroom at these resorts.  In many deluxe resorts, the pack in play would fit in the bathroom.  First one that comes to mind is Disney's Contemporary Resort.  There the vanity area is in it's own space with the show/tub, etc.

We sometimes take the older ones out of the room for nap time (if it's obvious they aren't going to rest) to explore the resort, swim, shop, etc.  This also works well, but honestly, 9 times out of 10 they all end up going to sleep which is not 'normal' for us at home.

    Have a magical vacation!
