Traveling with My husband, kids almost 6 and 3 , and my mom, need recommendations on lodging. Close to monorail and extra bedroom would help.

    Mary:

I totally get the extra bedroom when you've got not only little ones who need to nap but also extra privacy for your mom.  I would suggest a one- or two-bedroom villa at Bay Lake Towers.  When I toured the model with the Disney Vacation Club folks, I was blown away and instantly started trying to figure out how I could become a DVC member with BLT as my home resort.

The sleek interiors with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the full-size kitchen and dining area were as gorgeous as the views of the Magic Kingdom and Bay Lake.  Best of all, there's a jacuzzi in the bathroom.  You'll be able to use the skybridge over to the monorail in The Contemporary Resort, but not have to put up with the lobby noise of that hotel. Being able to utilize the common living area makes a vacation with your mom more relaxing, not to mention a help on the budget if you decide to eat a meal or two there.

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
