Hi! Traveling with hubby in mid-March on business trip (3 days) w/o our 4 kids!! Staying at BoardWalk. For a massage, should I go with Muscles & Bustles Fit or go to another resort close by? Am looking for that spa relaxation feel. Many thanks!

    Virginia:

Although I've never received a massage at Muscles & Bustles, from what I've seen of it, it's not what some would consider a "spa" atmosphere. It's more like a hotel fitness room with massage rooms adjoining it.

It sounds like you may be looking for the atmosphere of the Mandara Spa at the nearby Dolphin Hotel. It'll be about a 10- to 15-minute walk from the Boardwalk and to the Dolphin situated next door.  There, you'll find a sauna and whirlpool and other luxuries in a full spa experience. You may want to ask my fellow Moms Panelist Doug I. about his visit there via his bio page.

FYI: the best comparison I've found on the internet of the spas available at Disney was found at www.allears.net.  In the search box, type in "spa" and choose the fourth selection down: Spas, Health Clubs/Fitness Centers at Walt Disney World Resorts.

Wishing y'all a magical vacation and a blissful day at the spa!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
