I am traveling from Houston and plan to take my baby's stroller. Should I take the stroller to the Spirit of Aloha and how are little ones seated there? How is food there, any tips or suggestions? Is it worth it to buy birthday cake if you get dessert?

Hi Diana! The walk to the Spirit of Aloha show is a long one from the Polynesian resort. You seem to meander around several walkways before coming upon the show area. There will be high chairs and booster seats for children. Strollers at tables is usually not accepted unless it is best for the child as the tables are close and often there isn't room for especially large ones.

You will see many different reviews of this dining experience. I personally prefer the Hoop Dee Doo Revue for the show and food over this luau option. But when I do reserve the luau I try to get the best level of seating as the closer you are the better the view of the dancers. At the Hoop Dee Doo any level of seating will be good.

The last time I went I tried to get there a bit early which actually wasn't in my best interest as we finished dinner before others and then had some wait time for the show to begin. Be punctual but not necessarily early. The show will go on even in the rain but remember you do have a long walk to get there even if your table is under cover.

If you are celebrating a birthday I would definitely get a birthday cake for the special person. You can get a small one and tell the wait staff you would still like to enjoy the special dessert offered with the meal!  Have a great time!
