    Hi There, We are traveling as a group of 8 from Scotland in October and we will be in Florida for our Son's 10th Birthday on the 13th and I would really like it if you could recommend somewhere to eat that would possibly do a birthday cake for him?

    Hi Kathryn,

    Congratulations to your son for making it to the double digits!  You will be happy to know that you have two options for securing a birthday cake for your young prince.  The first option is to call the cake hotline at (407) 827- 2253 and order a custom cake to be delivered to most of the Walt Disney World Resort restaurants. The second option is to simply request a (premade) Celebration Cake upon arrival to your Walt Disney World Resort restaurant.  While the custom cakes offer a variety of choices, the spontaneous Celebration Cakes are super yummy as well.  My advice is to plan a meal which has high appeal for your son at a Table-Service restaurant in one of the four theme parks for your son's birthday and then either order a custom cake or plan to request a Celebration Cake when you arrive.  By making Advanced Dining Reservation for a restaurant in which your son is excited about, at the end of the meal when the cake arrives not only will it be a surprise it will be icing on the cake so-to-speak.

    Another tip for you Kathryn is to call the number listed in the following page for Dining Reservations and ask for your son's birthday to be noted on your Disney Resort Hotel reservations and all of your existing Advanced Dining Reservations.  Although your mileage may vary, you will often be delighted at the special attention your son will receive.  I have found that a birthday is always Magical when it is celebrated at Walt Disney World!
