Hi there, Shanece!
Welcome to planDisney!
It looks like you'll be spending the most wonderful time of the year in The Most Magical Place on Earth. How exciting! From the tinsel of Hollywood Studios to the garland of Magic Kingdom Park, there are so many reasons to love Walt Disney World in December.
Now, I'm a firm believer that Walt Disney World Resort is made even more magical when experienced with those you love most, so I think you'll be so glad you're visiting with a group of fellow Mouseketeers. Of course, a large party often means you'll be bringing more than just the
bare necessities into the theme parks, and unfortunately, we don't all have access to Mary Poppins' bag to carry our belongings. Happily, the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules do not limit the number of bags and coolers Guests can bring into the theme parks as long as each item abides by the size guidelines (no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high). You'll just want to be sure you can keep up with and manage the items you bring.
If you'd rather not carry more than one cooler throughout the day, you can conveniently
rent a locker to store your personal items near the entrance to each Walt Disney World theme park. My husband and I regularly utilize this service when we purchase larger souvenirs we don't want to carry on attractions or worry about damaging throughout the day.
Since you specifically asked about coolers, I did want to make sure that you are aware that while you can bring a cooler into the theme parks, both loose and dry ice are prohibited, so you'll want to rely on reusable ice packs to keep your items cool.
You've still got plenty of time to plan, Shanece, so feel free to stop back by
planDisney with any additional questions that arise about your holiday vacation! I also encourage you to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog so you can be one of the first to know about any holiday celebrations that will be taking place during your trip.
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
