Hi there, Dana! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so glad you brought your great question here today.
There are so many reasons why
Walt Disney World Resort truly feels like The Most Magical Place on Earth. For me, the biggest reason is that there are so many services put in place to allow everyone to experience the magic, such as
Services for Guests with Disabilities! I was able to experience this first-hand last month when I visited with my mom, who qualified and registered for
Disability Access Service (DAS).
I'm happy to hear that you've already pre-registered for DAS prior to your arrival! This will make planning for your magical vacation as easy as bibbidi-bobbidi-boo once you arrive. It also sounds like you've made your DAS Advance selections from a
list of available attractions. Once you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, you'll also be able to take advantage of the Same-Day DAS Return Time Self-Selection Tool! This will allow you to select same-day attractions through your My Disney Experience app on your park days.
Dana, in my experience, you are not limited to the list of available attractions like you were when making your DAS Advance selections. The only exception may be EPCOT's newest attraction,
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which can be accessed by all Guests through a
virtual queue or by purchasing an
Individual Lightning Lane entrance. However, there are a few things to know! First, this tool will be available to you once you tap into your park each day. The DAS option can be found in your
My Disney Experience app by tapping the icon that looks like three stacked lines in the bottom right corner, then scrolling down a bit to tap the DAS tile. Here, a Guest in your immediate travel party will be able to choose the next attraction your group would like to experience. You will be able to choose from any attraction that has a Genie+ Lightning Lane entrance and regular standby line. By selecting this attraction, you'll wait for the same amount of time that the current standby line is listed at, with the benefit of not having to wait in a physical line! Here's a little tip: when you're ready to tap into your attraction, make sure that the Guest who holds the Disability Access Service pass taps in first!
While we're talking about the My Disney Experience app, I'd recommend taking a little time to download and explore it prior to your arrival! A little like holding a magic wand in your hand, you will also be able to check wait times for attractions, view park maps, and even
mobile order food (my favorite!). I find this to be a great way to minimize waits and maximize the fun! Also, be sure that you've made your Theme Park Reservations with the
Disney Park Pass system. This is an important step to reserve the parks you wish to visit on each day of your trip.
If you have any other questions, please visit us again! After all, you've got a friend in me.
To infinity and beyond!
