Hello! We are traveling with a group for the very first time 12/16-12/23 this year. They aren’t DVC, but we are. We are all staying at the Boardwalk Villas. What are the steps we can take to make sure we are all linked together?

    Hiya, Rachel!

As a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, I'm happy to welcome you back to planDisney.  It looks like you'll be sprinkling a little extra pixie dust on the holiday season this year –– you must be so excited!  With the beautiful decorations, incredible gingerbread displays, and a big helping of holiday cheer everywhere you turn, the holidays are one of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World Resort.

I think it's so cool that you'll be sharing the gift of a Disney Vacation Club vacation with your family and friends for the holidays this year!  While linking everyone to your reservation isn't difficult, there are a few steps involved, so I'm happy to walk you through the process. Here's what you'll need to do:

    1. Be sure that each member of your traveling party has been added to your reservation.  If you need to add a Guest, you can do this by visiting your Member Dashboard on the DVC website and modifying your existing reservation.
    2. Sign in to the Walt Disney World website using your Disney Account credentials, hover over the "My Disney Experience" tab, and select "My Plans" from the drop-down menu.
    3. You should see your upcoming reservation under "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets".  If your reservation is missing, hover over the blue "Resort Hotel" circle under "Rachel's Plans and Tickets" and select "Link a Reservation".  From there, you'll be able to use your DVC Reservation Number to link your reservation.
    4. Once your reservation has been linked, you'll see each member of your party listed under your reservation.  Click "Confirm Guest".
    5. From here, you'll be able to match each name to a member of your Friends & Family List.  If you haven't added them to your list yet, select "Add a Guest" and follow the onscreen prompts to add them to your list.

After you've linked each person to your Friends & Family List, you'll also want to connect your account to each person's My Disney Experience account so you can make plans together as a group, including your Lightning Lane selections and boarding passes for rides like the all-new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT.  The easiest way to do this is by opening the My Disney Experience mobile app, tapping on "My Profile", and selecting "Friends and Family". To do this, have one person open the My Disney Experience mobile app, tap "My Profile" in the main menu, then tap "Show My Linking Code."  At the same time, the other person should open their app, select "My Profile", and tap the "Friends and Family" tab.  Tap the QR symbol next to your friend's name and scan their code to connect your accounts.  Just be sure you've selected "Yes, Share my Friends and Family List" and given permission to share your plans, and you'll be all linked and ready to go!

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney, Rachel.  I'm wishing you and your group a vacation that's filled with Membership magic and holiday cheer from start to finish!

    Happy Planning,
    Amy
