Welcome to planDisney, Kimberly!
AHH! The only thing that is better than traveling to Disney World is traveling to Disney World with a large group of people that you love! I'm so excited for you, and I hope that you enjoy every aspect of planning this upcoming vacation! One of my favorite things to do with large parties is to go to
Country Bear Musical Jamboree in Magic Kingdom! This show is adorable, funny, and great for the whole family!
When travelling with large groups, my favorite experience has been at
Art of Animation within the Family Suites (we liked the theming on the Cars Suites the best) because they are SO spacious, and we loved the access to the Skyliner from Art of Animation. The Family Suites can accommodate up to 6 adults each, they have 2 bathrooms, and a kitchenette. The last time I traveled with a large party (18 of us in total) we requested rooms close to each other at Art of Animation in the Family Suite section. My room ended up being neighbors with my mom's room and we were across the hall from my uncle's room. It worked well for us, and we had a lovely time!
Now, at most resorts you can request adjoining rooms, so if you're not interested in Family Suites, you can always follow the tips I've laid out for you below. (These steps would be a good way for you to request close rooms with Family Suites as well!)
Cast Members will do their very best to accommodate adjoining rooms when you request them. If nothing else, they will try hard to get your rooms close to each other. (Note: There's no guarantee as rooms are all subject to availability, but my larger group trips have had luck with adjoining/nearby rooms many times.) One of the easiest ways to request adjoining/nearby rooms is to open the
My Disney Experience App, select the "≡"icon, scroll down and select "Chat With Us" under the "Help & Feedback" section, and then ask the Cast Member you get connected with to help add an adjoining/neighboring room request to your reservations. You'll need the name and confirmation number from each reservation handy. You can also
call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line or submit a request through the
Help Center. I recommend making this request early, and when checking in to your hotel I recommend touching base with a Cast Member or the Front Desk as well!
I'm hoping that you and your party have a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time at Disney World, Kimberly! If you have any additional questions while planning your vacation, we hope you'll visit us again at planDisney!
