We will be traveling with our granddaughter next month. At 20 months, this will be her first of many trips. My concern is she is on a very specialized diet due to medical issues. Other than bringing food from home, any suggestions?

I do know, Mary, that Disney's food service team is really great about making accommodations for guests with allergies and dietary requests.  When you make dining reservations, be sure to have your granddaughter's needs noted on the reservation.  When you arrive at the restaurant, be sure to reiterate those requests to the Cast Member at the podium.  In most cases, a chef will come to your table to speak with you personally about what can and cannot be done for your granddaughter.  You might also consider placing an order from an Orlando grocery delivery service.  My family has been happy with Garden Grocer in the past.  They do offer a wide variety of products and happily fill special requests when possible. I hope that helps, Mary.

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
