I will be traveling with my 3 girls ages 7, 4, and 2.5. How many "nice" meals should we schedule each day? I don't want to book our days too full, but they all sound like so much fun!

    Hi Shelley!

That's a really tough question, as it really depends on the style of touring you choose. When traveling with small children, I suggest keeping with a predictable schedule. For example, our family will have groceries delivered, specifically breakfast foods, from either gardengrocer.com or wegoshop.com. We'll grab a quick breakfast in the room, tour the Park, and enjoy a quick service lunch.

After lunch, we'll head back to the Resort hotel, swim, nap, head out for one nice dinner and continue to tour into the evening hours. We typically do this nightly, booking one table service per day, however every family is different and it'll be up to you how many days you prefer to spend a lengthy amount of time in a restaurant. You can plan to spend on average 1.5 hours at a table service dining location. We enjoy this time to re-connect after the events of the day and and to experience some of the wonderful culinary delights at Walt Disney World as a family. We also recognize we won't be able to see and do everything, and we enjoy the relaxation of the dinnertime hour.

I'd suggest booking at least one Character Dining experience, as your children will likely not have the unique opportunities within the Parks to interact with Disney Characters as Character Dining can provide!

You are on the right track with considering the challenges of over-scheduling. Allowing for flexibility makes for a much more pixie dusted vacation!

I'd be happy to help you with choosing specific dining locations or a Disney Dining Plan. Feel free to write back with follow up questions.

    Happy planning!
